We've fixed hundreds of laptops. Here are some examples of the problems we've encountered and fixed.
Overheating. The most obvious symptom of overheating is random shutting down. A temperature sensor on the motherboard monitors the Processor and Graphics Chip temperatures. If these exceed pre-defined levels then the laptop shuts down. The two main causes are dust build up and poor cooling/heatsink design. This is fixed by dismantling the laptop and cleaning out and or improving the cooling design.
Broken Screen. Once we have identified the screen required we can replace it in within 24 hrs.
Power connector replacement. Laptop not charging? Often it's the power connector on the motherboard that it the problem. We can usually replace this overnight if we have the connector or we can hard wire to the motherboard if you need the laptop back fast.
Broken Keyboard or Track Pad. This is a very fast repair once we have identified the parts required. We will always give you an estimated return date on first contact.
Graphics card re-flowing. There are a large number of laptops fitted with NVidia graphics chips which suffer from graphics issues. Thu is caused by overheating which in turn causes the solder joints to fail. The fix for this is to re-flow the solder.
